Parts & Workshop Co-ordinator

A vacancy has arisen within our Engine Machining Remanufacturing Services (EMRS) department for a Parts and Workshop Co-ordinator.

Ideally having experience from an automotive parts/service environment the key responsibilities of the successful applicant will be to:
 
  • use OE, third party and aftermarket parts look-up systems to source parts for workshop job orders or telephone enquiries;
  • liaise with customers regarding engine or component machine work;
  • create job cards for machine work to be carried out by the EMRS workshop.  Examples of machine work would be cylinder head skimming/facing/cylinder block boring or crankshaft grinding;
  • carry out stock control using Sage 200 and Microsoft Excel;
  • raising parts returns to suppliers;
  • raising purchase orders in Sage 200;
  • to assist with cashing up the till at the end of day as and when required.
 
Ideally the successful candidate will:
  • have knowledge of the individual components and parts that make up an engine;
  • have excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • possess a positive attitude and display the ability to identify solutions to problems;
  • have experience of using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) and Sage 200 or similar.
Training will be provided for a proactive candidate with a basic knowledge of the motor trade, who has the desire to work in a unique and varied role that has the potential for growth.

This role requires a 45 hour working week.  We offer a competitive pay package and also provide free onsite parking.

Turbocharger Operative

Ivor Searle requires an additional Operative to work in its expanding Turbo Remanufacturing Department.

The role will involve the disassembly, inspection, reassembly and picking of components for the remanufacturing of turbochargers, whilst working to build plans and schedules.
 
Hours of work will be from 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 13:30 on Friday.
 
Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience of engineering, machining and/or vehicle engine work. The individual will possess a positive attitude and display the ability to identify solutions to problems.  In-house training will be provided.

Engine Remanufacturing Operative

A vacancy has arisen for an Engine Remanufacturing Operative to join our production department.
 
Hours of work will be from 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 13:30 on Friday.
 
Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience of engineering, machining and/or engine work, possess a positive attitude and display the ability to identify solutions to problems. In-house training will be provided.
